Job Description
Role Summary:
As our Accountant, you will oversee daily financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the company’s financial strategy. You’ll play a key role in managing budgets, payroll, and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Handle accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Oversee monthly payroll scheduling and salary disbursement for all staff
- Ensure compliance with statutory payments and filings (FIRS, PENCOM, ITF, NSITF, etc.)
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors
- Advise management on financial risks and opportunities
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and internal controls
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Must have a Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, etc.)
- Minimum of 2–4 years proven experience in a similar role
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books) and MS Excel
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Integrity, discretion, and a detail-oriented mindset
