Job Summary
Our client, a Consulting firm with a focus on the Fin-Tech Industry is seeking to hire the services of an experienced
Accountant
. This role will be responsible for overseeing the organisation\'s financial health by managing accounting and financial operations, developing and implementing financial strategies, and providing leadership to the finance team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees Accounting operations, which include financial accounting, accounts payable, and payroll
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reconciliations of general ledger and internal accounts.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports to ensure performance.
- Maintains best fixed asset system.
- Provide advice and assistance in making decisions in the areas of finances.
- Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections.
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
- Prepare all monthly client invoicing and vendor payments.
- Coordinate the accounting team by determining priorities.
- Reconcile the organization’s bank account, and resolve any statement queries.
- Raise payment vouchers, Manage overall expenditure
- Document project financial account.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline from an accredited University
- Relevant professional qualification e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPFA, etc. is and added advantage
- 4 -5 years of demonstrable experience in accounting
- Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
