Job Description
Key Duties
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes
- Prepare and submit CBN and other regulatory returns within approved timelines
- Produce management and statutory financial reports for EXCO and the Board
- Coordinate internal and external audits and resolve audit issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, CBN guidelines, and prudential requirements
- Reconcile core banking systems, general ledger, and regulatory reports
- Drive finance process improvements and reporting efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA or equivalent) – mandatory
- 7–12 years’ experience in accounting and financial reporting within a regulated financial institution, preferably a microfinance bank
