Greenspace Farms Limited — trading as Greenco — is an integrated agri-food business operating across Egg production, Food processing, Agronomy operations and FMCG distribution to retail outlets across Nigeria . We are a founder-led business in an active growth phase, building the systems, processes, and leadership team that will carry us into our next decade. This programme is a direct product of that ambition.
This is not a conventional management trainee programme. We are searching for two exceptional young professionals who will work in direct proximity to the Managing Director — learning how an integrated agri-food business is run, making decisions, solving problems, and gradually taking on real leadership responsibilities over a structured 36-month period.
If you are ambitious, intellectually curious, emotionally intelligent, and serious about building a career in agribusiness leadership — this is your opportunity to be mentored into a senior executive role from the inside.
We are hiring one candidate per track. Both roles carry equal status, equal access to leadership, and an equally structured development path. At the end of the programme, each successful graduate will assume a defined senior leadership role within the organisation.
Track A — Operations & Farm |
Track B — Commercial & Business |
|
You will focus on:
• Farm and field operations oversight • Logistics and supply chain coordination • Vendor and supplier relationship management • Inventory control and stock-taking • Operational KPI monitoring and reporting • Staff coordination and farm-level HR support |
You will focus on:
• Sales and retail distribution management • Customer relationship and account management • Revenue reporting and financial analysis • Budgeting and expenditure control • Market intelligence and business development • Commercial KPI tracking and performance review |
Career destination: Chief Operating Officer |
Career destination: General Manager / Commercial Director |
The right candidates for this programme share a specific set of characteristics. We are not looking for perfection — we are looking for potential, coachability, and character.
- A genuine interest in agribusiness and the food value chain in Nigeria — this is not a stepping stone role
- Strong analytical reasoning — you are comfortable with numbers, reports, and data-driven thinking
- High emotional intelligence — you can read rooms, manage relationships, and handle conflict maturely
- Integrity — you keep your word, own your mistakes, and operate with transparency
- Ambition tempered by humility — you want to lead, but you know you still have a great deal to learn
- Willingness to travel — farm visits, field trips, and customer calls are a significant part of this role
- Applicants must be passionate about building a career in Agribusiness
- BSc or HND in Agribusiness, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Finance, or a related field
- 0 – 3 years of post-graduation work experience (we welcome strong early-career candidates with the right profile)
- Track A candidates: prior exposure to operations, logistics, supply chain, or farm management is an advantage
- Track B candidates: prior exposure to sales, FMCG distribution, finance, or account management is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with basic financial reporting is a plus
- Lagos-based or genuinely willing to relocate to Lagos
- Starting monthly gross salary of ₦200,000 – ₦280,000 — reviewed and increased at each programme milestone
- Direct, unfiltered access to the Leadership and exposure to every dimension of the business
- A structured 36-month mentorship and leadership development programme with defined milestones
- Field and travel allowance for all official trips
- Health Maintenance Organisation (HMO) cover
- 13th month salary paid at year end
- Performance bonus tied to milestone achievement
- Transportation rebate
- Pension contributions in line with the Pension Reform Act (CPN-compliant)
- A defined pathway to a permanent senior executive role — this programme is designed to end in leadership, not in uncertainty
We value your time and ours. Please do not apply if any of the following describes you:
- You are looking for a comfortable desk role with predictable hours and no field demands
- You are treating this as a short-term position while waiting for something else
- You are unwilling to be coached, corrected, or challenged by someone more experienced
- You are not genuinely interested in the agri-food sector and see this purely as a salary opportunity
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Greenspace Farms Limited is an equal opportunity employer and actively encourages applications from both male and female candidates. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building a leadership team that reflects the richness of the communities we serve.
