Job Description

Role Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving the growth of Fingo Consulting Ltd by identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding the company’s client base. This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker with a strong understanding of financial and management consulting services, particularly in the nonprofit and MSME sectors. The BDM will play a crucial role in positioning Fingo as a trusted advisor in target markets.                                                                                                                                                                                                     

Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Lead Generation:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the nonprofit, startup, and MSME sectors.
  • Develop and execute lead generation strategies, including networking, referrals, and digital outreach.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets.

Strategic Partnerships & Relationship Management:

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, NGOs, incubators, accelerators, government agencies, and financial institutions.
  • Represent Fingo at industry events, conferences, and meetings to build visibility and foster partnerships.

Proposal Development & Bid Management:

  • Lead the preparation of tailored proposals, bids, and pitch decks for potential clients and funding opportunities.
  • Coordinate internal teams to respond effectively to RFPs and consultancy tenders.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct market and sector analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and new service opportunities.
  • Provide insights for service innovation and positioning strategies.

Brand & Communication Support:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance brand visibility through campaigns, social media, and content marketing.
  • Contribute thought leadership articles, case studies, and success stories that highlight Fingo’s value proposition.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring:

  • Track and report on key performance metrics, client feedback, and business development activities.
  • Use CRM systems to manage prospects and track the client journey.                                                    

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Development Studies, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, consulting, or sales, preferably in financial services or advisory firms.
  • Proven track record in generating business and managing client relationships in the nonprofit or MSME sectors.
  • Familiarity with financial management, business planning, and capacity-building frameworks.
  • Experience writing and winning grant proposals or consulting bids is highly desirable.
