Business Development Officer at Invent Alliance Limited

The Business Development Officer will support customer acquisition, relationship management, and market expansion for our bakery products, including bread, pastries, and specialty items.
The role is field- and office-based, focused on identifying new retail, reseller, and corporate customers while supporting existing accounts. The position operates from our bakery location and surrounding markets.

• Identify and approach potential bakery customers such as retailers, resellers, supermarkets, restaurants, and corporate buyers within assigned locations.
• Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with existing bakery customers to encourage repeat orders and steady demand.
• Conduct routine market visits around the bakery’s catchment areas to understand demand, competitor activity, and customer needs.
• Support achievable sales targets through structured follow-ups, order conversion, and light upselling of bakery products.
• Clearly communicate product offerings, pricing structures, and order processes to customers.
• Collect customer feedback, market insights, and competitor information, and submit routine reports to management.
• Work closely with production and customer service teams to align customer commitments with production capacity and delivery schedules.

• OND/HND/B.Sc. in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
• 6 months – 2 years experience in sales, customer service, or business development (FMCG or bakery experience is an advantage)
• Basic understanding of sales processes and customer engagement
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence with field work and customer interaction
• Ability to prepare simple reports and maintain basic records
• Willingness to learn and grow within a structured bakery operation
• Must reside within
  Ajah, Sangotedo, or nearby locations
