Description
- African Food Changemakers (AFC) is seeking an experienced consultant (individual or firm)to conduct anexternal final evaluationof the Skoll Foundation–funded program Building Resilience Against Climate and Environmental Shocks (BRACE). The evaluation will apply anOutcome Harvesting methodologyin line with OECD DAC criteria to assess the program’s success in building climate resilience across Africa. This includes a comprehensive review of program documents, outcome harvesting sessions, key informant interviews (KIIs), focus group discussions (FGDs), and collection of stories of change from participants. The consultant will work closely with the AFC team, Climate Action Africa (partner), the funder, and program participants across different African countries.
Desired Skills
- Minimum of a Master’s degreein a relevant field.
- Certification in Monitoring and Evaluationand membership of an evaluation professional body (added advantage).
- Strong knowledge and proven experience in research design, implementation, and data analysis.
- Sound understanding of climate adaptation in the agriculture sector.
- Demonstrable experience conducting evaluations for agriculture/climate programs in Africa.
- Proven expertise in Outcome Harvesting methodologyand other qualitative/participatory evaluation approaches.
- Excellent facilitation skills for interviews and discussions with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong report-writing skills and ability to deliver high-quality, credible outputs in English.
