Data Science Services (DBA) Level 1 at Quintevo Nigeria Limited

We are seeking a motivated

to provide first-line support in managing and maintaining enterprise databases. This entry-level role involves assisting senior DBAs with database monitoring, troubleshooting, backup, and basic performance tuning while gaining exposure to data science and analytics environments.

1. Provide first-level support for database incidents and service requests.
2. Monitor database performance, availability, and alerts.
3. Assist in database backups, restores, and routine maintenance tasks.
4. Support data quality checks and ensure data integrity.
5. Work with data analysts and developers to provide access to required datasets.
6. Document incidents, configurations, and solutions for knowledge sharing.
7. Escalate complex database issues to Level 2/3 DBAs.
8. Learn and apply best practices in database administration, data governance, and security.
9. Participate in on-the-job training and continuous development.

1. HND/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
2. 3-5 years’ experience in IT/database support.
3. Basic understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
4. Familiarity with SQL queries and scripting is an advantage.
5. Awareness of database backup, restore, and security concepts.
6. Eagerness to learn database administration and data science support.
7. Certifications such as
   CompTIA Data+, Microsoft SQL Fundamentals, or Oracle Junior DBA
   are a plus.
8. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
