Job Description

Responsibilities

Specifically, the candidate is expected to: 

  • Be responsible for the physical development, maintenance and care of the University estate, rehabilitation of existing facilities and development of new ones, including roads, water, electricity, vehicles, equipment and furniture in academic and residential areas, ensure cost effectiveness; 
  • Prepare and maintain the University's fixed assets register and make periodic reports to Senate and Council on the physical state of the University; 
  • Be responsible for the coordination and control of the activities of the Works Department
  • Carry out other duties as may be assigned, and provide professional and community services.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess a Masters' degree in the relevant field plus 24 years' cognate experience and be registered with COREN. 
  • The candidate must have been an Assistant I Director for five (5) years. Membership of recognized professional bodies is compulsory.

Grade

CONTISS 15.
