Dispatch Rider at OJ Wale Pillars Metal and Tech Limited

• We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and motivated Dispatch Rider to join our delivery team.
• The primary responsibility of this role is to receive, pick up, and deliver packages, documents, and other items to customers and businesses in a timely and professional manner.
• The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of the local road network, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to providing outstanding service.

• Delivery & Pickup: Collect packages, documents, and goods from the company warehouse or client locations and deliver them to the correct recipients within designated time frames.
• Route Planning: Plan and execute the most efficient routes for delivery and pickup to ensure prompt service while managing fuel consumption.
• Bike Maintenance: Perform basic daily maintenance checks on the assigned Bike (e.g., oil, brakes, tires, lights) and report any major mechanical issues immediately to the logistics manager.
• Record Keeping: Accurately collect and record delivery signatures, receipts, and other necessary documentation for each transaction.
• Customer Service: Interact with customers and clients in a polite, professional, and helpful manner. Handle items with care to prevent damage.
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all national and local traffic laws and regulations. Always operate the vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
• Communication: Maintain constant communication with the dispatch team using a mobile phone or radio, providing updates on delivery status, traffic conditions, and any potential delays.
• Inventory Management: Verify the accuracy of orders being picked up or delivered against shipping documents.

• Valid Rider’s license
• A minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience as a dispatch rider, courier, or in a similar role is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of the local area, streets, and traffic patterns.
• Strong navigation skills, with the ability to use GPS devices and mobile map applications effectively.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift and carry packages up to [e.g., 50 lbs / 25 kg].
• Exceptional time management and punctuality.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A clean driving record with no major violations.
• Own a smartphone with data capability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Rider’s license
• SSCE or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
