Job Summary

The Early Nursery Classroom Teacher will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment for the Children. The ideal candidate should be passionate about early childhood education, patient, creative, and committed to helping each child reach key developmental milestones in preparation for primary school.

Key Responsbilities

  • Create and implement a nurturing, structured, and play-based learning environment for children.
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities that develop language, numeracy, creativity, and social-emotional skills.
  • Introduce basic literacy and numeracy concepts to prepare children for a smooth transition into primary education.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and child-friendly classroom setting.
  • Observe and assess children’s development, maintaining accurate records and sharing feedback with parents and school management.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate actively in school improvement initiatives and extracurricular activities.
  • Model the values of patience, kindness, and excellence in all interactions with children and team members.
  • Support the overall mission of Palmiers Schools

Requirements:

  • NCE, B.Ed., or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in an early childhood or nursery school setting.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and learning methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan creatively and engage children through play, music, storytelling, and hands-on activities.
  • Passionate about shaping young minds and contributing to the growth of the school community.
  • Warm, patient, and genuinely loves working with children.
  • Reliable and consistent in following through on responsibilities.
  • Team-oriented, teachable, and eager to grow professionally.
  • High sense of responsibility and ownership for classroom outcomes.
  • Energetic, creative, and adaptable.
