Electrical Design Engineer at Sinoma Cargo International Nigeria Limited

The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing, reviewing, and supporting the implementation of electrical systems for industrial and construction projects. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, international standards, and local regulatory requirements while supporting project execution and commissioning activities.

Electrical System Design

• Prepare electrical designs for industrial plants and construction projects，
• Design power distribution, lighting, earthing, and control systems，
• Review vendor drawings and technical documents，other jobs as assigned

Engineering & Technical Support

• Provide technical support during project execution
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and process engineering teams
• Participate in technical meetings with clients and consultants

Project Implementation Support

• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during construction and startup
• Ensure compliance with project timelines and quality standards

Compliance & Quality Control

• Ensure designs comply with SON, and other applicable standards
• Maintain engineering documentation and reports
• Support safety and HSE compliance requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

Experience

• Minimum 1
  –5 years
  experience in electrical design for industrial or construction projects
• Experience in
  cement plant, power, or heavy industry
  is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, Solidworks or similar)
• Knowledge of power distribution systems and control systems
• Understanding of industrial electrical standards
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
