Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production machines.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on injection moulding, blow moulding, and auxiliary equipment.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical panels, motors, sensors, contactors, relays, PLCs, VFDs, and other industrial electrical components.
- Ensure all machines operate safely and efficiently with minimal downtime.
- Perform routine inspections and electrical testing of factory equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and machine manuals.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and electrical standards.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve machine reliability and efficiency.
- Recommend improvements that enhance equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
Requirements
- Minimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- NYSC or discharge certificate
- 3–5 years' hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician in a plastic manufacturing company.
- Strong knowledge of injection moulding and blow moulding machine electrical systems.
- Practical experience with PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), sensors, electrical control panels, and industrial automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults quickly and effectively.
- Good understanding of industrial safety practices and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
