Experienced Basic Tech and Technical Drawing Teacher at Distinct Star School

We are seeking a passionate, qualified, and experienced teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons in Basic Technology and Technical Drawing, helping students develop strong practical and theoretical skills .

• Curriculum Delivery:
  Plan, develop, and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with national/British educational standards .
• Instruction:
  Teach technical drawing principles (orthographic/isometric projections, dimensioning) and basic technology concepts (electronics, mechanics) .
• Assessment:
  Evaluate student progress through tests, assignments, and projects; provide timely feedback and maintain accurate academic records .
• Classroom Management:
  Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment conducive to creativity and discipline .
• Practical Application:
  Integrate hands-on projects, design-based learning, and computer-aided design (CAD) tools where applicable .
• School Community:
  Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, extracurricular activities, and parent communication .

• Education:
  Bachelor’s Degree (B.Ed, B.Sc, or B.Tech) in Technical Drawing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Fine Arts (with technical focus), or a related field. HND holders with relevant qualifications are also considered .
• Certification:
  Teaching qualification (PGDE or valid teaching license) is highly recommended .
• Experience:
  Minimum of
  3 years
  of experience teaching Technical Drawing/Basic Technology at the secondary school level .
• Technical Skills:
  Strong knowledge of engineering drawing conventions, drafting, and familiarity with CAD software is an advantage .
• Soft Skills:
  Excellent communication, interpersonal, classroom management, and problem-solving skills .

Monthly Salary: ₦100,000 and above (negotiable).
