Job Description
Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and dependable Hotel Cook to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with hotel standards and guest preferences.
- The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, committed to cleanliness and hygiene, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and room service orders) according to established recipes and menus.
- Assist in menu planning and food presentation to maintain consistency and quality.
- Ensure all meals are prepared in a timely manner to meet guest expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, cooking utensils, and food storage areas.
- Follow proper food handling procedures and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food stock and report shortages or low inventory to the chef or kitchen manager.
- Assist in receiving and properly storing deliveries.
- Minimize waste and contribute to cost control by using ingredients efficiently.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook in a hotelenvironment.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations and food safety guidelines.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced setting.
- Reside within Ogba, Ojodu, Iyana Ipaja, Ketu axis
