Job Description

Community Health Justice and Peace Initiative for Development (CHeJPID) is desirable of the services of an experienced Audit firm to serve as its External Auditor. The Audit firm will:

Scope of Work

  • Examine the financial statements of Community Health Justice and Peace Initiative for Development (CHeJPID).
  • Confirm bank balances and review bank reconciliations.
  • Review payroll records and statutory deductions.
  • Identify weaknesses in financial management systems.
  • Provide recommendations to improve internal controls and financial management.
  • Review accounting systems and internal controls.
  • Verify supporting documents for financial transactions.
  • Assess compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
  • Review procurement and asset management processes for the organization.
  • Provide an independent opinion on the financial statements of Community Health Justice and Peace Initiative for Development (CHeJPID)
  • Conduct organizational Audit in accordance with
    International Standards on Auditing (ISA)
    .

Expected Deliverables

The external auditor is expected to provide:

  • Draft Audit Report
  • Final Audit Report
  • Management Letter highlighting weaknesses and recommendations
  • Audit Opinion on the financial statements

 Required Qualifications of the Auditor

Interested firms must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a registered audit firm.
  • Must be licensed by a recognized professional body such as
    • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or
    • Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).

Experience

  • Minimum of
    10 years’ experience
    in auditing NGOs, companies, or donor-funded projects.
  • Proven experience in applying
    International Standards on Auditing (ISA)
    .
  • Availability of qualified audit professionals.
