Finance Associate at Viscount Microfinance Bank

We're seeking a

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support business operations
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian accounting standards, IFRS, and regulatory requirements (including FIRS tax regulations)
• Manage statutory filings and liaise with regulatory bodies such as CAC, FIRS, and external auditors
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (minimum Second Class Upper)
• ACA, ACCA, or ICAN qualification preferred or Part-Qualified (at least intermediate level)
• 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in accounting or finance roles
• Strong understanding of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or similar) and advanced MS Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
