Finance Officer at Lumos

• We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Finance Officer to join our team.
• The Junior Finance Officer will support the finance team in managing accounting records, financial transactions, and reporting activities.
• This role is ideal for fresh graduates with 1 to 2 years’ experience with a Degree in Accounting or Finance who have completed their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and are currently undergoing or have completed their ICAN certification.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Record and maintain financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
• Assist in tax computations, filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Support cost analysis and financial forecasting to enhance decision-making.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with business goals.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Must have completed the 1 year compulsory National Youth Service Corps, NYSC with 1-2 years working experience.
• ICAN certification in progress or completed
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) is an added advantage
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
