Job Description

Responsibilities

Prepare and review the monthly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account in line with IFRS and regulatory standards.
Generate weekly performance ratios to provide insights on the Bank’s financial health.
Conduct weekly and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash and bank balances.
Prepare and post monthly journals promptly, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
Monitor and track expenses to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
Process PAYE, WHT remittances, and receipts documentation in line with statutory requirements.
Support disbursement processes and ensure timely settlement of financial obligations.
Prepare and present monthly management accounts for management review and decision-making.
Provide support during audits by supplying accurate records and addressing audit queries.
Raise internal memos for financial approvals and reporting purposes.
Undertake other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Head, Financial Control.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA) in view or completed will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 3–4 years’ relevant experience in financial control, accounting, or audit (preferably in banking or microfinance).
Strong knowledge of CBN guidelines, NDIC requirements, IFRS, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting packages, and financial reporting tools.
