Financial Controller at Decagon

• The hire will start by providing critical support during due diligence, reviewing and validating financial records and helping prepare our company for a major transaction. This two-month part-time engagement is a direct pathway to becoming our full-time Financial Controller, where you will build and scale our financial processes, manage reporting, and provide strategic financial insights to leadership and investors.

• Experienced Professional: You have 5–8+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally with a background in workforce outsourcing, staffing, or professional services.
• M&A Savvy: You have experience with due diligence, M&A processes, or have worked in a private equity-backed environment.
• Cross-Border Expert: You are comfortable collaborating with international teams and stakeholders.
• Certified: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with professional certifications like ACA, ACCA, or CPA highly preferred.

Part-Time (Due Diligence):

• Support financial due diligence requests and validate financial records.
• Identify and assess finance process risks and improvement areas.
• Collaborate with external auditors and U.S.-based management.

Full-Time (Post-Deal Close):

• Own and oversee the entire finance function, from accounting to compliance.
• Implement robust financial controls and reporting frameworks.
• Manage monthly close, budgeting, and forecasting for our U.S. and Nigerian operations.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support leadership decisions.
