Job Description
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, compliance, and growth of the Nigeria operations. This role ensures operational excellence, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and alignment with regional and group strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all business activities in Nigeria, ensuring alignment with regional and group objectives.
- Oversee operations, laboratory, sales, finance, and administrative functions.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian regulatory, tax, labor, and safety requirements.
- Drive business development and client relationships, especially key accounts.
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, cost control, and profitability.
- Ensure quality standards, accreditation requirements, and HSSE compliance are met.
- Represent the company with government authorities, clients, and strategic partners.
- Recruit, develop, and retain key talent within the organization.
- Provide regular operational and financial reporting to regional management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in inspection, testing, oil & gas, commodities, or related industries.
- Proven senior management experience in Nigeria or West Africa.
- Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and regulatory knowledge.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
