Graduate Trainee- Mechanical Engineer at Nenu Engineering

We are looking to recruit a

to support our cookstove manufacturing and production operations. This role is designed for recent graduates who are eager to gain , develop strong mechanical engineering skills, and contribute to climate-impact projects.

The trainee will receive structured on-the-job training across fabrication, assembly, quality control, and basic production engineering.

• Support the fabrication and assembly of improved cookstove components 
• Assist in production line setup, workflow improvement, and basic production planning
• Support routine maintenance and troubleshooting of fabrication equipments 
• Support quality control checks to ensure stoves meet design and performance standards
• Assist with documentation of production processes, SOPs, etc
• Support pilot deployments and field feedback integration into design improvements
• Comply with factory safety, quality, and environmental procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve output
• Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned

• B.Eng / B.Sc / HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 0–2 years experience 
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, welding, machining)
• Interest in clean energy, climate solutions, or sustainable manufacturing
• Willingness to work in a factory and occasionally support field activities
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD or SolidWorks 

• Strong hands-on and learning mindset
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting ability
• Attention to detail and quality
• Problem-solving and continuous improvement orientation
• Safety-conscious attitude
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools is an advantage
