Groundskeeper / Gardner at Private Employer

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to maintain the outdoor areas of a private residence. The groundskeeper will be responsible for gardening, maintaining flowerbeds, keeping driveways and access roads clear, caring for ponds and landscaped areas, and ensuring the property remains clean, safe, and well-kept. A key focus of this role is preventing standing water to reduce mosquito breeding and maintain a healthy environment. 

Eku, Delta State

• Gardening & Landscaping 
• Plant, water, prune, and care for plants, shrubs, and trees 
• Maintain flowerbeds, including weeding, mulching, and seasonal upkeep 
• Support overall landscape appearance and plant health 

• Maintain lawns, walkways, and outdoor common areas 
• Clean and clear the driveway and road leading to the gate of leaves, dirt, and debris 
• Ensure outdoor areas are safe, tidy, and accessible 

• Maintain ponds and water features in clean and functional condition 
• Remove debris from ponds and surrounding areas 
• Monitor water quality and report any concerns 

• Identify and remove standing water throughout the property 
• Ensure proper drainage to prevent mosquito breeding 
• Support a clean and healthy outdoor environment 

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, gardening, or landscaping required 
• Basic knowledge of plants, lawn care, and outdoor maintenance 
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions 
• Physically capable of performing manual labor tasks 
• Reliable, attentive, and able to work independently 

• Private residential property 
• Outdoor-focused role with routine physical activity 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 hours/ day 

Compensation: N50,000 - N120,000 based on skill and fit + yearly bonus
