Head of Finance and Accounts at Reputable Organization

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Finance and Accounts to lead our financial operations and drive strategic financial planning. This senior leadership role requires a qualified professional who will oversee all aspects of financial management, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.

Financial Management & Strategy:

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with company objectives
• Oversee preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
• Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management
• Ensure optimal cash flow management and working capital optimization

• Supervise preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Oversee tax planning, preparation, and filing of all statutory returns
• Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
• Foster a culture of accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement

• Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions
• Collaborate with operations teams to optimize service delivery costs
• Support contract negotiations and pricing strategies
• Contribute to business development and expansion initiatives

• Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Chartered Accountant designation (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) - MANDATORY

• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles within the service industry
• Proven track record in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning
• Experience in team leadership and staff development
• Background in service-oriented businesses preferred (security, facilities management, or similar)

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Zoho, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling capabilities
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory requirements
• Experience with financial analysis and reporting tools
