Job Description

‎The Headmaster is responsible for providing academic, administrative, and strategic leadership across a group of nursery and primary schools. The role ensures consistent educational excellence, safe and nurturing learning environments, effective staff management, and compliance with all regulatory standards. The Headmaster leads school principals and teaching teams, drives curriculum development, monitors performance, and partners with parents and stakeholders to achieve high-quality early childhood and primary education outcomes.

‎KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ‎Provide strategic leadership and direction for all nursery and primary schools within the group
  • ‎Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and child development
  • ‎Oversee curriculum implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement
  • ‎Lead, mentor, and evaluate school leaders, teachers, and academic staff
  • ‎Ensure student wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusive learning environments
  • ‎Monitor academic performance and implement improvement plans
  • ‎Ensure compliance with education authorities, policies, and regulations
  • ‎Engage parents, communities, and external stakeholders
  • ‎Oversee staffing, budgeting, and effective use of school resources

‎REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • ‎Bachelor’s degree in Education (Master’s degree preferred)
  • ‎Teaching certification and school leadership qualification
  • ‎Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in nursery and/or primary education
  • ‎Proven experience in school leadership (Headmaster, Principal, or Senior Administrator)
  • ‎Strong knowledge of early childhood and primary curricula and assessment frameworks
  • ‎Demonstrated leadership, communication, and people management skills
  • ‎Experience managing multiple schools or campuses is an advantage
  • ‎Strong understanding of child safeguarding and welfare standards
  • ‎Excellent organizational, decisionmaking, and problemsolving abilities
  • Preferably living in Ejigbo/Ikotun axis
