High- and Low-Tension Operation and Maintenance Officer at Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company

• As a High and Low Tension (HT/LT) Operation & Maintenance Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of Ikeja Electric’s distribution network.
• You will support operations across our high-tension (33kV/11kV) and low-tension (LV) systems by coordinating fault management, preventive maintenance, and network upgrades.

• Network Operations Support: Support the maintenance and monitoring of HT/LT networks, including feeders, substations, switchgear, and overhead/underground lines, to ensure steady supply.
• Fault Management: Coordinate and supervise daily fault clearing on HT/LT lines, ensuring timely restoration, quality execution, and proper records.
• Planned Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for 33kV/11kV feeders and LV networks to minimize downtime and enhance reliability.
• Performance Monitoring: Analyze fault and tripping trends, providing recommendations for upgrades, reconductoring, and network rehabilitation.
• Compliance Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic maintenance and tripping reports to management and regulators (e.g., NERC) to maintain compliance.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with government agencies (e.g., LASIMRA, LASPARK, LASERC) to facilitate seamless and safe network operations.

• This opportunity is Entry Level role, suited for Officer to Supervisor.
• The role involves working across technical, commercial, and customer service teams to ensure reliable performance of High and Low Tension distribution systems.
• This position reports directly to the High and low operation & Maintenance Supervisor..

Successful applicants will typically possess the following criteria:

• Bachelors degree or its equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering disciplines.

• A minimum 0-3 years post-qualification experience.
• Certifications in Engineering / Membership of a professional body e.g. NSE, COREN is an added advantage.
