The company is seeking
HR Assistants
to support the Human Resources department in payroll administration and recruitment activities
. The role involves assisting with employee payroll processing, maintaining HR records, supporting recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and Nigerian labour regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and processing monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy in salary calculations, allowances, and deductions.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, attendance records, and leave records.
- Assist in ensuring timely remittance of statutory deductions such as PAYE, pension contributions, and other required payments to the appropriate authorities.
- Maintain employee files, contracts, and HR documentation.
- Support onboarding documentation and administrative processes for newly hired employees.
- Assist in managing recruitment activities including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, and interview coordination.
- Conduct preliminary candidate screening and assist in scheduling interviews with hiring managers.
- Maintain recruitment records, candidate databases, and hiring reports.
- Provide administrative support for HR operations and assist with general office duties within the department.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee information and compliance with company policies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in HR administration, payroll support, or recruitment assistance.
- Basic knowledge of Nigerian payroll regulations and statutory deductions (PAYE, pension, etc.).
- Familiarity with recruitment platforms and candidate sourcing methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
