Role Overview

We are looking for a results-driven Junior Collections Officer to join our Collections team. This role focuses on handling high-risk accounts, ensuring timely debt recovery, and maximizing collections efficiency. You will play a critical role in protecting Carbon’s portfolio quality while delivering excellent customer experience in challenging recovery situations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage interactions with high-risk and difficult customers, ensuring professional and effective resolution.
Ensure prompt debiting of delinquent accounts to facilitate timely recovery.
Provide coaching, support, and direction to junior collectors to strengthen the overall collection effort.
Make outbound calls to delinquent customers to negotiate and facilitate repayment.
Analyze collection trends and propose strategies to improve the recovery rate.
Monitor daily collections activities, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve disputes or operational issues affecting collections.

Requirements

Experience in collections, preferably in fintech, banking, or other financial services sectors.
Proven track record in managing high-risk accounts and achieving recovery targets.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and spot trends.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
