Job description

The Loan Officer plays a vital role in promoting the Bank’s products and services, engaging prospective customers, and maintaining strong relationships. As the primary liaison between the Bank and its customers, the Loan Officer drives loan sales, ensures accurate documentation, supports customers with financial advisory services, and manages loan recovery processes.

Key Responsibilities

Market the Bank’s loan products and services to prospective customers.
Deliver passbooks and ID cards to customers.
Conduct
pre-loan training
for customers to ensure full understanding of terms and obligations.
Guide customers in completing account opening and loan application forms accurately.
Submit completed loan applications promptly for processing.
Collect weekly loan repayments and ensure timely remittance to the Bank.
Follow up on defaulting customers and manage
loan recovery
for delinquent accounts.
Provide financial advisory services tailored to customer needs.
Serve as the
frontline point of contact
for customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback.

Qualifications & Requirements

B.Sc./HND/ND in Marketing, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
Minimum of
1–3 years’ experience
in a marketing, sales, or credit role (preferably in microfinance or related financial services).
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to persuade and manage customer relationships.
High integrity, ethical standards, and strong sense of responsibility.
Analytical, proactive, self-motivated, and resilient.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Must reside in
Bariga, Shomolu, Palmgrove, or Onipanu
.
