Medical Laboratory Scientist at Harley and Wall Healthcare and Business Consulting

We are hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to support accurate, timely, and quality-driven diagnostics. This role requires strong technical competence, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

The Medical Laboratory Scientist will report to the

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests according to approved SOPs
• Ensure proper sample collection handling, processing, and storage
• Validate results, maintain accurate documentation, and support timely reporting
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment within scope
• Participate in internal quality control (IQC), external quality assurance (EQA), and audits
• Maintain strict compliance with safety, infection prevention, and waste management protocols
• Support continuous improvement, turnaround time optimization, and customer satisfaction
• Communicate professionally with clinicians and clients regarding results and test requirements

• BMLS (or equivalent) in Medical Laboratory Science
• Valid practicing license with the appropriate regulatory body
• Minimum 2 to 5 years post-qualification laboratory experience (diagnostic lab experience preferred)
• Strong competence in at least one core bench area (Hematology, Chemical Pathology, Microbiology, Histopathology, Blood Bank)
• Good documentation habits, attention to detail, and team collaboration
• Comfort with quality systems, SOP adherence, and service standards
