Job Description
- The Medical Laboratory Scientist will perform diagnostic testing and analysis, prepare specimens, and interpret test results within a laboratory setting.
- They will adhere to all laboratory safety and quality control procedures, work closely with pathologists and other healthcare professionals, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Additionally, the Medical Laboratory Scientist will maintain accurate records and provide timely and accurate results to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Technology and Laboratory Skills
- Experience in Laboratory Medicine and Pathology
- Knowledge of Quality Control procedures
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- Certification from a recognized certifying board, such as ASCP, is preferred
- Relevant experience in a clinical laboratory setting
