Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MERN Stack Developer with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in the gaming industry to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance gaming applications using the MERN stack. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for gaming, proven expertise in full-stack development, and a deep understanding of how to build immersive, real-time player experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end gaming platforms using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
  • Build and optimize real-time APIs and WebSocket connections for multiplayer interactions.
  • Collaborate with game designers, frontend engineers, and product managers to deliver player-centric features.
  • Ensure application scalability, security, and high availability for global gaming audiences.
  • Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Work with databases, caching, and cloud services to handle large-scale traffic and gameplay data.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance existing gaming systems.
  • Stay current with gaming technologies, full-stack trends, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a MERN Stack Developer.
  • Proven background in the gaming industry (multiplayer systems, online casinos, esports, betting platforms, etc.).
  • Strong proficiency in MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js.
  • Experience with real-time data handling using WebSockets, Socket.io, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript (preferred).
  • Knowledge of database optimization, indexing, and query performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with game server mechanics and real-time synchronization.
  • Knowledge of WebGL, Three.js, or other interactive graphics libraries.
  • Strong background in scalability for high-traffic gaming platforms.
  • Understanding of player engagement and gamification strategies.
