Operations Manager at Hibgli Agro Limited

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of HAV's core operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire palm oil value chain, from farmer registration and support to product sourcing, storage, processing, and transportation. This position requires a strategic thinker with a passion for agriculture and a commitment to empowering rural communities.

• Farmer Relationship Management:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for farmer registration and onboarding.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with smallholder farmers and local communities.
  • Conduct regular farm visits to assess needs, provide support, and ensure adherence to sustainable farming practices.
• Farmer Empowerment Programs:
  • Coordinate and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions with experts on topics like innovative farming techniques, best practices, and market trends.
  • Oversee the distribution of material support such as high-grade fertilizers, seeds, and processing equipment to enhance farm productivity and product quality.
  • Collaborate with partners to identify and manage resources for farm expansion initiatives.
• Palm Oil Sourcing and Logistics:
  • Organize and manage the sourcing of palm oil products from local communities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Establish and maintain a network of local storage facilities for efficient product collection and inventory management.
  • Coordinate the safe and timely transportation of palm oil from local storage to the processing facility in Lagos.
• Processing and Packaging:
  • Oversee the smooth operation of the palm oil processing and packaging facility in Lagos, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality regulations.
  • Manage inventory control at various stages - sourcing, storage, and packaging - to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, product quality, and overall output.
• Inventory Management:
  • Stock Management: Implement rigorous stock-taking procedures at all stages of the supply chain, from sourcing and storage to packaging, to prevent discrepancies and ensure product availability.
