Job Description
Scope and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for technical materials, including HVAC equipment, spare parts, compressors, refrigerants, and automotive components
- Source and evaluate suppliers for HVAC systems, tools, and automobile parts, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness
- Manage procurement lifecycle: requisition, RFQ/RFP, evaluation, negotiation, purchase order issuance, and delivery follow-up
- Lead technical vendor negotiations, including pricing, warranties, service-level agreements (SLAs), and delivery timelines
- Collaborate with engineering and service teams to define technical specifications and requirements
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain a qualified vendor database for HVAC and automotive categories
- Monitor supplier performance and implement vendor evaluation and improvement plans
- Optimize inventory levels in coordination with stores to prevent stock-outs or overstocking of critical parts
- Support project teams with timely procurement of materials for installations and maintenance
- Track market trends, pricing benchmarks, and technological advancements in HVAC and automotive sectors
- Manage import processes where required (documentation, duties, logistics coordination)
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare periodic reports on cost savings and supplier performance
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards in procurement of technical materials
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management
