Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on and disciplined
Production Manager
to oversee daily kitchen and production operations, ensuring consistent food quality, efficient workflows, and timely service delivery.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in food production within a QSR or hospitality environment and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, customer-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Kitchen Operations
- Oversee daily food production activities to ensure timely preparation and availability of menu items.
- Ensure strict adherence to approved recipes, portion control, and quality standards.
- Monitor production output to meet daily sales demand while minimizing waste.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and hygiene across all production activities.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, schedule, and coordinate kitchen and production staff.
- Train team members on food preparation standards, hygiene practices, and operational procedures.
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address performance or discipline issues promptly.
- Promote teamwork, punctuality, and accountability in line with company values.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Plan and manage raw material usage to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Work closely with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor stock levels, storage conditions, and expiry dates to maintain food safety standards.
Quality Assurance & Food Safety
- Enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Ensure compliance with relevant food safety regulations and internal quality procedures.
- Conduct routine checks to identify and correct quality or hygiene gaps promptly.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure staff comply with hygiene and safety requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance turnaround time.
- Support process improvements that align with speed, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree (Food Science, Hospitality, Business, or related field is an advantage).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in food production or kitchen operations, preferably within a QSR, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
- Strong people management and communication skills.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of discipline, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to quality, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
