Job Description
Objective/ Purpose:
We seek a seasoned QA/QC professional
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation of organisation-wide quality control and ISO processes, including Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Prepare and drive the implementation of the annual Quality Control Plan for the plant.
- Ensure that production quality control processes are implemented in line with agreed-upon procedures and guidelines.
- Supervise laboratory operations to ensure precision in the sample testing process for raw materials, intermediate products, final products, and appropriate calibration of equipment.
- Ensure all set product quality targets are met, and deviations from target quality standards are promptly identified and rectified.
- Coordinate the weaning and pilling of raw materials and control of chemical parameters.
- Support the Plant Manager in ensuring the final product meets quality specifications and agreed standards.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on laboratory equipment and effective housekeeping is conducted in the laboratories.
- Prepare an annual calibration schedule and ensure calibration is carried out on laboratory equipment as scheduled.
- Manage the interface between the QA/QC function and other relevant departments within the plant.
- Provide overall guidance, leadership and strategic direction to the plant QA/ QC team.
- Provide periodic reports on the activities and performance of the plant QA/ QC function for the attention of the Plant Head and Group Production Head.
- Perform any other duties that the Plant Head may assign.
- Liaise with the government agency regarding statutory compliance
Functional/ Technical Knowledge:
Working Knowledge of plastic manufacturing production is key

- Excellent interpersonal skills, writing skills, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with senior levels of management.
- Excellent management skills, with the ability to identify and track product procedures and documentation along with regulatory requirements.
- Strong management, administration and leadership skills to manage resources and processes.
- Passionate, energetic and maintain a positive attitude.
Education Qualification:
Bachelor‘s Degree in any science-related field
Professional Qualification:
Professional membership and certification in relevant and recognised institutions
Work Experience:
7+ years, Experience in Quality Assurance/Control in Plastic production
