Quality Control / Production Manager (Tailoring Experience Required) at Genesis Couture Ltd

We are looking for a Quality Control / Production Manager with hands-on tailoring experience to ensure all garments meet required quality and production standards.The Quality Control / Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the entire garment production process at Genesis Couture. The role ensures that all clothing items meet the brand’s quality standards, design specifications, and delivery timelines while maintaining cost efficiency and minimizing waste.

• Oversee end-to-end garment production including cutting, sewing, fitting, alterations, and finishing.
• Develop and manage production schedules to meet deadlines for customer orders and collections.
• Coordinate workflow among tailors, pattern makers, and finishing staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor daily productivity and address delays or production challenges promptly.

• Conduct regular quality inspections on fabrics, stitching, sizing, measurements, and finishing.
• Ensure all garments align with Genesis Couture’s design standards and approved samples.
• Identify defects or inconsistencies and ensure timely corrections before delivery.
• Maintain quality control checklists and inspection records.

• Supervise and evaluate production staff performance.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to tailors to improve quality and efficiency.
• Enforce discipline, professionalism, and compliance with company standards.

• Monitor fabric usage to minimize wastage and control production costs.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of fabrics and finished garments.
• Report fabric shortages, damages, or losses promptly.

• Work closely with the Creative Director to accurately interpret designs and customer specifications.
• Provide regular production and quality reports to management.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.

• Proven experience in fashion production, tailoring, or garment quality control.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, measurements, fabrics, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to manage people, timelines, and production targets.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Formal training or certification in Fashion Design or a related field is an advantage.
