We’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management, contract administration, and commercial strategy on high-value projects.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties on assigned projects
Prepare accurate cost plans, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documentation
Manage procurement processes, including supplier/subcontractor selection and contract negotiation
Conduct detailed cost reporting, forecasting, and commercial risk assessments
Monitor project variations, claims, and final accounts
Oversee valuations, progress payments, and cost control strategies
Advise on contract law, particularly across JCT, NEC, FIDIC, or bespoke contracts
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure commercial alignment
Support or lead dispute resolution processes where required
Mentor and guide junior QS team members, contributing to talent development and best practices
Provide strategic commercial input to support project decisions and profitability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline
Minimum 5 – 8 years of relevant experience, with significant experience in a senior or lead QS role
Demonstrable experience managing large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
In-depth understanding of contract forms such as JCT, NEC, FIDIC, or similar
Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) is highly desirable
Proficient in cost management software (e.g., CostX, Candy, CATO, or similar)
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
