Job Description
Viscount Microfinance Bank is seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Senior Relationship Manager
to strengthen its business development function and drive sustainable portfolio growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong banking knowledge, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven track record in deposit mobilization and credit portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value individual and corporate customers
- Drive deposit mobilization, account opening, and customer acquisition initiatives
- Originate, structure, and manage loan facilities in line with bank policies and regulatory guidelines
- Conduct customer credit assessment, monitoring, and portfolio review
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and portfolio quality
- Lead and support junior Relationship Managers and sales officers where applicable
- Ensure proper documentation, KYC compliance, and adherence to internal controls
- Monitor loan performance and support repayment follow-up to minimize default risk
- Identify business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships
- Prepare and submit periodic business and performance reports to management
- Represent the bank professionally during client engagements and field activities
Requirements
- Minimum of HND / B.Sc in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or any related discipline
- Minimum of 4–6 years experience in banking or microfinance, with at least 2 years in a senior relationship or portfolio management role
- Proven track record in deposit mobilization and loan portfolio growth
- Strong understanding of microfinance banking operations and credit processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet aggressive business targets
