Sales Associate at Exotic Wedding

We are seeking a friendly, detail oriented to assist retail customers and wholesale clients in our fabric store. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in textiles, and the ability to support both walk-in shoppers and business accounts. This role involves sales, fabric handling, inventory support, and maintaining an organised, welcoming store environment.

• Greet and assist retail customers and wholesale clients in selecting fabrics and related products
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on fabric types, uses, care, and quantities
• Process sales transactions accurately
• Handle wholesale orders, including taking measurements, preparing invoices, and coordinating pickups or deliveries
• Build and maintain positive relationships with repeat customers and business clients

• Measure, cut, roll, and package fabric accurately and efficiently
• Maintain organised displays and fabric shelves
• Restock merchandise and assist with inventory counts
• Label, price, and merchandise new fabric arrivals

• Answer phone calls and respond to basic inquiries about pricing, availability, and orders
• Assist with special orders and backorders
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional sales floor and work area

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred
• Interest in fabrics, textiles, fashion, or interior design is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift fabric bolts as needed
