Job Description
Reports To: Sales Lead / Partnership Manager
Supports: Partnerships, Programs, and Growth Team
Role Overview:
The Sales Associate is an entry-level role responsible for supporting revenue-generating activities at I-Train Africa. This role focuses on lead follow-up, sales support, outreach, and conversion assistance across ITA’s programs, trainings, and partnerships.
This is a hands-on execution role for someone eager to learn sales, customer engagement, and business development in an impact-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Lead Support
- Support the sales process by following up on inbound leads and inquiries.
- Assist in converting prospects into program participants or clients.
- Respond to basic enquiries via email, WhatsApp, and social platforms.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, conversations, and outcomes.
Outreach & Engagement
- Support outreach efforts to prospective individuals, schools, organizations, or partners.
- Assist in preparing outreach messages, pitch decks, and follow-up materials.
- Engage prospects professionally and represent I-Train Africa’s brand values.
Sales Operations & Tracking
- Update CRM tools, trackers, or spreadsheets with lead and sales data.
- Track daily and weekly sales activities and outcomes.
Support reporting on leads, conversions, and pipeline status.
Program & Campaign Support
- Support sales activities tied to programs, events, and campaigns.
- Assist with onboarding new participants or clients after conversion.
- Work closely with marketing to align outreach with ongoing campaigns.
Customer Experience
- Ensure prospects and customers receive timely responses and clear information.
- Escalate complex enquiries to senior sales or program leads when necessary.
- Help ensure a smooth and professional customer journey.
Skills & Competencies

- Comfortable using digital tools (Google Docs, Sheets, email, WhatsApp).
