Job Description
SANY Nigeria is seeking a high-performing
Solar Sales Manager
to spearhead the market entry and growth of our new solar product line in Kano and the broader Northern region.
The ideal candidate is a strategic closer who doesn't just know "how to sell," but knows
how to launch.
You must possess an intimate understanding of the Kano business terrain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive "Go-To-Market" (GTM) strategy for SANY’s new solarproducts, specifically tailored toNorthern Nigerian demographics.
- Meet and exceed aggressive monthly and quarterly targets.
- Identify and secure partnerships with large-scale industrial clients, agricultural projects, and government parastatals.
- Recruit and manage a network of Tier-1 distributors and installers across Kano and neighboring states.
- Monitor competitor activities and pricing in the Northern region, providing the head office with actionable insights to maintain a competitive edge.
- Act as the primary face of SANY Solar in the North, attending trade fairs, community stakeholder meetings, and industry events.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 8 years in technical sales, with at least 4 years specifically in the Solar/Renewable Energy industry.
- Demonstrate previous success in introducing a new product or brand to the Nigerian market (successfully scaling a brand from zero to market relevance).
- Deep, boots-on-the-ground knowledge of the Kano State business ecosystem and cultural nuances.
- Fluency in English and Hausa is mandatory.
- Ability to explain solar technicalities (inverters, Lithium-ion storage, PV efficiency) to both engineers and laypeople.
- B.Sc/HND in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is an added advantage.
