Job Description
Background of Role
- A Sales Manager - Well Testing is responsible for achieving revenue goals, developing strategies, building client relationships, and leading a sales team to market well testing services within the oil and gas sector.
- Key duties will include identifying customer needs, presenting services, developing sales plans, managing accounts, and fostering community and industry engagement to drive business growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed revenue goals for the company's well testing services.
- Develop and execute action plans for key market segments to drive business growth.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients by understanding their immediate and long-term needs.
- Identify opportunities for future work and account extensions, and generate new leads through various sales activities.
- Conduct research and studies of the marketplace and territory to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
- Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to ensure performance and alignment with company objectives.
- Maintain well-documented records and provide regular updates on sales activities and performance.
- Collaborate with the tender team and provide technical support for proposals and pre-qualification documents.
- Actively participate in oil and gas events and conferences to expand professional networks and generate prospects.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualification & Experience
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline
- Must have 15 years minimum sales experience in well testing & interventions, with evidence of consistently meeting and achieving sales targets
- Ability to identify and build relationships with senior-level decision-makers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer interface skills
- Candidates must demonstrate the ability to see projects through from planning to completion
- Entrepreneurial-minded and a strategic thinker that is able to provide the best possible solutions for clients.
Key Skills:
- Sales & Negotiation: Proficient in direct sales, cold calling, sales visitsand closing deals.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop market strategies and execute action plans effectively.
- Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the oil and gas sector, including well testing services.
- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead, train, and motivate a sales team.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and internal reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to research markets and analyze competitor capabilities.
