Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities on site
- Read, interpret, and implement construction drawings and specifications accurately
- Coordinate artisans, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery
- Monitor quality of work and ensure compliance with building standards and regulations
- Ensure proper use of materials, tools, and equipment on site
- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards
- Prepare site reports and provide regular progress updates to management
- Identify and resolve on-site technical issues promptly
- Liaise with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies as required
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in construction or building projects
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site practices
- Strong supervision, coordination, and communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet project deadlines
- Knowledge of safety procedures and site management best practices
Added Advantages
- Experience with residential or commercial building projects
- Basic knowledge of project costing or material estimation
- Familiarity with Nigerian building codes and regulations
- Computer literacy (AutoCAD or basic site documentation tools is an advantage)
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
