This is a key role in our 3-person team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and schedule 7+ posts/week on X (e.g., teasers, polls, cultural spotlights like "Naija Artisan Stories").
- Engage in Facebook groups (e.g., Nigeria Artisans, ) and WhatsApp communities and respond to comments, build relationships, and promote beta.
- Set up and optimize Facebook/Instagram ads targeting interests like "small business owners," "Nigerian culture," and "home maintenance."
- Track performance (e.g., impressions, clicks, sign-ups) using platform analytics; report weekly insights.
- Collaborate on content calendar, focusing on value (tips for artisans) and CTAs (landing page)
Requirements:
- 1–3 years experience in social media management, preferably for startups or local brands in Nigeria.
- Strong knowledge of X, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp; experience with ads (Meta Ads Manager) and tools like Buffer/Canva.
- Excellent communication in English understanding of Nigerian culture (e.g., artisan trades) a plus.
- Creative, proactive, and data-driven; able to engage communities without spamming.
- Access to reliable internet; Nigeria-based for time zone alignment.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to A/B test posts (e.g., cultural vs. problem-solving themes) and iterate based on performance.
- Tools Expertise: Proficiency in Canva for graphics.
What We Offer:
- Flexible remote work with growth potential in a mission-driven startup.
- Opportunity to shape a platform empowering Nigeria's artisans.
- Performance bonuses tied to beta sign-ups and engagement metrics.
