Qualifications
- Education:Advanced degree in social sciences, international development, economics, public policy, or related fields.
- Organizational Experience in Humanitarian Coordination:Minimum of 5 years working in humanitarian coordination.
- Data and financial analysis experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and conducting financial and fiscal analyses.
- Technical knowledge in Early Childhood Development (ECD):Strong ECD sectoral knowledge, which includes education, health, nutrition, social protection, and humanitarian assistance.
- Relationship building: Strong relationships with stakeholders in the development and ECD sector in Nigeria and ability to foster further relationships in the sector, including with locally-led and refugee-led organizations.
- Advocacy and Policy Influence Capacity:Expertise in ECDiEadvocacy effortsaimed at influencingnational and state level policies.
- Local Knowledge and Contextual Understanding:Deep understanding of the localsocial, cultural, and political dynamicsaffectingECD and humanitarian programming.
- Location:The position is expected to beremote, with the consultant being based in one of the following geographies;Levant, South Asia, West Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, or the Caribbean.
- Language:Fluency inEnglish and local languageis required, both written and spoken.
