Job Description
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
- Certification/Licensing: COREN registration or proof of eligibility for registration is required.
- Membership in NSE or other recognized professional bodies is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7–10 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong site supervision and construction management background on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience collaborating with architects, contractors, and construction teams.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee quality assurance, structural integrity, and compliance with local standards.
Design Expertise:
- Proficient in structural design and analysis using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, Orion, Tekla, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of Nigerian building codes, Eurocodes, and other relevant standards.
- Ability to produce and review structural drawings, calculations, reinforcement detailing, and construction documentation.
- Technical Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of concrete, steel, and foundation systems.
- Ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
- Skilled in resolving on-site structural challenges and design adjustments.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Strong leadership and coordination abilities for site teams.
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Other Requirements:
- Must be resident in Abuja.
- Familiarity with local regulatory authorities and approval processes.
- Valid driver’s licence.
