Job Description
SUMMARY
The
Tax Officer
will be responsible for the management of the organisations short term liquidity by monitoring and reporting on all cash related activities to enable the effective management of cashflow in support of business operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source and compile all relevant documentation required for Tax purposes to ensure the preparation of complete and accurate Tax documentation
- Complete all Tax forms and other documentation as required by the Tax authority and ensure that all submissions are accurate and on time to mitigate against the risk of non compliance.
- Store all relevant tax related documentation and ensure that it is easily accessible as required by the tax authority and the organisation and in line with statutory requirements.
- Organize and prepare complex documents using a variety of computer applications such as Microsoft Office. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for special reports.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.
- Advise managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents
- Makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics / Accounting / Finance or related discipline from a recognized university.
- Atleast 3 years experience in a finance administration role
- Professional training or certification in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance(e.g., ICAN, ATS, or equivalent) is a plus.
