Role Summary:
The Trade Intelligence Officer will gather, analyze, and report trade and market data to support business growth. The role involves monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, consumer behavior, and regulatory policies while advising the sales and marketing team with actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze trade, consumer, and competitor data.
- Monitor pricing, distribution, and product availability.
- Track government policies, tariffs, and regulations.
- Evaluate trade channels (distributors, wholesalers, retailers).
- Identify market gaps, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Provide forecasts, trend analysis, and intelligence reports.
- Advise on effective positioning, promotions, and distribution strategies.
- Measure effectiveness and ROI of trade promotions and campaigns.
Requirements:
- B.Sc./HND in Marketing or related field.
- Strong trade intelligence and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of CRM software.
- Excellent problem-solving and reporting ability.
- Willingness to travel when required.
