• A relevant BSc. Degree in Electrical Engineering is required, with a professional certification in Electrical Engineering being an advantage.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, with at least 5years specifically in offshore pre-commissioning and commissioning in the oil and gas environment, with a proven track record of working on the Bonga FPSO.
• The candidate must hold valid offshore certifications such as BOSIET, OSP, and a valid medical certificate.
• This position requires working in a challenging offshore industrial environment on platforms or vessels.
• Develop and review pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, test protocols, and checklists for all electrical systems.
• Manage and execute all pre-commissioning activities, including continuity checks, insulation resistance tests (meggering), and energization of electrical systems and equipment.
• Supervise the installation and testing of all electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), and generators.
• Coordinate with vendors and specialized technical teams for the testing and start-up of critical and complex electrical systems.
• Prepare and manage all necessary pre-commissioning and commissioning documentation, including test reports, sign-off sheets, and the final handover dossier.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues that arise during the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
• Ensure all activities are performed in strict accordance with project specifications, single-line diagrams, and applicable safety regulations.
• Liaise with the client's operations and maintenance teams for the smooth and efficient handover of commissioned systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to Electrical Technicians and other team members during the project.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including their installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Expertise in working with power distribution, motor control systems, and emergency power systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to manage and coordinate a team and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and other engineering documents.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing detailed documentation and procedures.
• Willingness to work in a demanding offshore environment.
